Freddie and Shao Wen are the organizers of the Rocky Mountain Lindy Festival and the founders of Sunny City Swing, a Calgary‑based swing dance company dedicated to building joyful, welcoming spaces for dancers of all levels.

 

In just three years, they have grown Sunny City Swing from zero into a vibrant community hub — offering weekly dances, classes, and performance teams that help dancers develop deeper technique, musicality, and confidence. Their work has helped cultivate one of Calgary’s warmest and most supportive swing dance communities.

 

RMLF is an extension of that mission: a celebration of music, movement, and the people who make Lindy Hop such a powerful and joyful art form.
