Clear guidelines to support a safe and joyful weekend

POLICIES

Shoe & Floor Care Policy

Please bring clean, non-street shoes for dancing and change into them once inside the venue. DC Dance Club has a brand-new sprung dance floor, and outdoor shoes and sticky rubber soles can damage the surface. Thank you for helping us keep the floor in great condition for everyone.

Water & Beverages Policy

Daytime workshops: Water bottles are permitted during all daytime workshops.

Evening dances: Water bottles are not permitted while the bar is open. Water and other beverages will be available for purchase at reasonable prices during the evening dances.

Thank you for helping us follow the venue's requirements and keep the dance floor safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Code of Conduct

Treat every partner with kindness, awareness, and consideration. Communicate clearly, dance gently, and be mindful of comfort and personal boundaries. Always ask before initiating dips, tricks, or close contact.

Respect a “no.” Anyone may decline a dance or a movement at any time, and no explanation is required.

Dance safely and responsibly. Use good floorcraft, be aware of the people around you, and check in if an accident happens. Air steps are welcome in a jam circle, but are not permitted on the social dance floor.

Help create a welcoming space for everyone. RMLF welcomes dancers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

Photography & Media Release

By attending the Rocky Mountain Lindy Festival, you acknowledge that photography and video may take place throughout the event. Images and footage may be used by RMLF and Sunny City Swing for promotional, social media, website, advertising, and archival purposes.

If you prefer not to appear in promotional photography or video, please let our team know at check-in. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request, although incidental appearances in crowd shots or background footage may still occur.

Photography and video recording are permitted during workshop recap portions only.  Please refrain from filming during instruction to avoid distractions and allow everyone to focus on learning. During recaps, you are welcome to record video for your own practice. Please be mindful of others and avoid blocking anyone's view of the instructor.

At evening dances, please do not use flash photography. Be aware of the dancers around you and avoid standing where you may interfere with the flow of the dance floor. Please respect the comfort and boundaries of the people around you.

By attending the festival, you agree to this media policy.
